By incorporating a catalyst a BioBlower system is capable of eliminating chemical and environmental contaminants and organic particles from the air as well as killing the biological contaminants.  For some applications both catalytic heating and catalytic oxidation are important, e.g. to protect individuals with severe allergies from mold spores, the BioBlower system kills the spore and eliminates the allergen.  The Company is working with key partners to develop and test catalysts for a broad range of applications including chemical warfare agents.  As an example of catalytic oxidation, the graph below demonstrates the ability of BioBlower with a catalyst to eliminate ammonia, an important environmental pollutant, by oxidizing it to nitrogen and water.  As an added benefit, the catalyst reduces the operating temperature required to kill pathogens; this reduces the operating cost.
