Principle of operation
A BioBlower is a continuous flow compressive heating system that kills micro-organisms with instantaneous uniform heating, assuring a complete kill. It also eliminates chemical toxins, environmental pollutants and organic particles with catalytic oxidation.
As shown, a blower heats the air stream to kill the micro-organisms and activate an optional catalyst (not shown) to eliminate chemical contaminants and organic particles. The heat energy in the air stream is recovered using a highly effective counter flow heat exchanger to reduce operating costs and to cool the purified air. An optional resistance heater is used for applications where decontamination of the heat exchanger is required. The process is inherently modular and scalable, handling air flows ranging from 50 to thousands of cubic feet per minute.
